About Ambrodil S Syrup 100 ml

Ambrodil S Syrup 100 ml is a respiratory combination medication primarily used to treat cough associated with respiratory disorders like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD). Asthma is a breathing problem in which airways narrow, swell, and produce extra mucus, leading to difficulty breathing. COPD is a group of lung diseases with emphysema (shortness of breath) and chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the lining of your bronchial tubes). Coughing occurs as a reflex action in the throat when there is mucus or any other foreign irritant in it.

Ambrodil S Syrup 100 ml consists of two medicines, namely: Salbutamol (widens narrowed airways) and Ambroxol (dilutes viscous cough). Salbutamol belongs to the class of drugs known as 'bronchodilators' that works by widening and relaxing the airways (bronchi) of the lungs. Ambrodil S Syrup 100 ml is available in oral syrup, oral tablets and inhalers. Ambrodil S Syrup 100 ml in oral tablet form has to be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, or break it. The liquid form of Ambrodil S Syrup 100 ml should be taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Inhaler form of Ambrodil S Syrup 100 ml has to be put between your front teeth and has to be closed by your lips. Then it has to be breathed in or take puff through the mouth deeply for 2-3 seconds.
