About Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's

Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's belongs to a group of medications called Benzodiazepines (BZD) that are primarily used for the treatment of anxiety disorders and prevention of seizures (fits) due to epilepsy.

An anxiety disorder is a mental health disorder characterized by feelings of excessive fear or worry, that affects an individual's daily activities. On the other hand, Epilepsy is a chronic disorder characterized by episodes of seizures (fits). In this condition, there is a chemical change in the brain cells (neurons) that leads to a sudden surge of electrical activity in the brain followed by sudden jerky movements of limbs or a part of the body.

Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's works by increasing levels of brain cell (neuron) calming chemical, known as gamma-amino-butyric-acid (GABA) in your brain, that helps to relieve anxiety, stop seizures attacks (fits), and cause relaxation of the tense muscles. Besides this, Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's also relieves temporary insomnia (sleeplessness) due to anxiety disorders.

You can take Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's with food or without food. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, or break it. Your doctor will advise you how often you take your tablets based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience daytime drowsiness, disturbed sleep, light-headedness or dizziness. Most of these side effects of Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, please reach out to your doctor.

Do not take this medicine if you have any lung disease, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis), sleeping disorders or difficulty in sleeping (sleep apnoea), severe liver disease, or a problem with alcohol or other prescription drugs. Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's is a habit-forming drug and, hence there is a risk of forming a dependence on this medicine. Therefore, before stopping this medicine, consult your doctor as it may cause withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, increased heart rate, tremor, or general unwell feeling.

Drug Warnings

Taking Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's with opioid medicines can cause severe drowsiness, breathing problems, coma, and death. Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's should be taken with extreme caution in patients with a history of alcohol or drug abuse. Clonafit 0.25 MD Tablet 10's may affect your ability to drive or operate heavy machinery if taken with alcohol. So, if you feel excess suicidal thoughts, difficulty in concentration, sleep disturbances, dizziness, or, sleepiness let your doctor know about this. Pregnant or lactating women should consult a doctor before taking it as it is a Category D pregnancy medication.
